Still remember the day when during my interviews for teams one of my panelist asked me one question.
Why lakshya on the third slot? And I answered that sir I have never worked in an event of such great magnitude in my entire life and since lakshya is a flagship event of the campus I guess you should hire those who knows how to manage big events. I guess my honest answer and my respect for the event was one that drove me to get selected for this team.
This word lakshya has got two things associated with it- “passion and emotion”. Passion to a level that we used to dream lakshya in our sleep and emotions to a level that it makes the entire batch shout whenever we played lakshya anthem in the auditorium.
I really don’t remember how many sleepless nights me and my teammates have passed for making our lakshya a grand success. Even today while working for a company I feel that those days were tough but honestly speaking those days made me tough enough to face anything in the life.
I was one of those in my team who use to fight a lot with my fellow teammates. In fact my neighbor used to come to my room and used to say “Lohani bhai talwar de deta hu agar jarurat ho toe”. But end of the day I realize ki “ladayi bhi wahi hoti hai jahan mohabbat hoti hai”. Really we all loved lakshya like anything. Whatever I am today I guess lakshya has really played a great role in that.
I don’t even remember how many VP’s and directors are there with whom I have interacted during the span of 1 year, don’t even remember how many times I have changed the website as per my teammates suggestions, don’t even remember how many media houses I have approached but what I remember is at the end of the day our batch really set a benchmark lakshya for the future batches to come. Thanks to all the teams who worked with us day and night to set this benchmark.
I Guess lakshya never had a team because what it has is a representation of 10-12 people and rest whole batch working day and night to accomplish the dream of achieving their lakshya.
Whether you become the member of this team or not just try to become the part of journey of lakshya. I can promise you all that ‘this event will give you immense opportunity for your development’. Although we really set benchmark in lakshya but I really want the coming edition to break those.
